Ahoj,
my name is Mišo Löwy.
This portfolio represents my strongest works and style.
I prefer handmade drawing to computer drawings.
You can feel the real energy of materials and observe an authentic manuscript.
I am using little touch of computer graphics to achieve effect of screen print images on old paper.
Screen print graphics, book illustration and comics - those are places for my works.
I am working on my own drawing manuscript, create my own monsters and characters,
write stories for my comics, therefore I see myself as an author.
My beloved artists are: Quentin Blake, Lewis Trondheim, Joann Sfar, Ralph Steadman.
I came from Slovakia, currently living in Ostrava, Czech Republic.
My art education have roots in classical hand-drawn animation.
Few years I worked as an illustrator and animator for advertisement agencies.
Nowadays I am working from home as a freelance illustrator.
I am working on projects as Handsome Pickles (you can read about it on my blog) or book for children.
